Ray Tango (Sly Stalone) and Gabe Cash (Kurt Russell) are two of LA's best narcotics agents, and can't stand each other. A very real threat to the drug kingpin, they are framed for a murder they did not commit. Tried. Convicted. Sentenced. Tango and Cash end up in a maximum security prison where they face many of the criminals they have helped put behind bars. The bullseye is right on their backs as the convicts get the opportunity for a little revenge. Tango and Cash are forced into working as a team, creating and executing an escape plan and prove their innocence.
