Telly Paretta (Julianne Moore) is grieving the loss of her son in a plane crash just over a year ago. Soon her son's picture and things are disappearing and her husband (Anthony Edwards) and psychiatrist (Gary Sinise) tell her that he never existed. Refusing to believe them, she goes in search of answer by finding the father of another of the children the died in the crash named Ash Correll (Dominic West). At first he claims to not remember his daughter, but soon Telly convinces him and they band together in a quest to find the answer as to why their children have disappeared. They discover that finding the truth is harder than they might have hoped as everyone who knows it keeps disappearing. The question is will they find the truth before they become 'The Forgotten'?
